As an American patriot and a supporter of a free Republic of Korea,
I would like to extend my sincere congratulations and my thanks to
the ANDONG DAILY, and its publisher, my friend Mr. Cho, on the 5th
anniversary of its establishment.

I congratulate Mr. Cho because he and the ANDONG DAILY have
survived and even flourished in a difficult political, economic, and
social environment for patriotic media, to become a respected and 
trusted source of news and information for Koreans and foreigners,
in Korea and overseas.

I thank Mr. Cho because he and the ANDONG DAILY have done
and continue to do a great service to Korea, and to the cause of
freedom, by publishing the truth without fear, and promoting
a strong ROK-U.S. alliance in the face of great internal and external
dangers and hardships.

It is my hope and expectation that the ANDONG DAILY will continue
its important role in bringing Andong to the world, and in serving as
a voice of truth and justice, for many years to come.
